Hen Parties

​

At The Mermaid School, we love helping our clients create unforgettable experiences for their Hen Parties. Our private lessons for up to 6 participants offer a one-of-a-kind opportunity to swim like a mermaid and have a blast with your friends. You'll get to wear a beautiful tail and monofin, participate in fun games and challenges, and take plenty of photos to capture the memories. Book your Hen Party with us and make it a day to remember!

 Team Building

​

The Mermaid School provides a unique and engaging team-building experience with our mermaid swimming lessons. Our lessons are perfect for corporate or personal events, offering a fun way for your team to bond and build relationships. Our mermaid (merman) swimming lessons are tailored to engage all participants and provide an exciting and memorable experience. The lessons are conducted in safe, controlled environments by qualified instructors who will teach participants how to swim like a mermaid while wearing a monofin and mermaid skin. There is a maximum of 6 swimmers per class.

 Prices: £45 p.p.

(includes pool hire)

These sessions will include:

  • How to put on and take off a tail safely

  • Teaching a safe entry and exit of the pool

  • Learning how to swim in the monofin and tail skin

  • Playing fun-themed games

  • Practicing mermaid skills e.g. Bubble kisses, bubble rings and turns

Swim Test

​

To take part in a session each participant must be able to do the following skills that will be tested at the beginning of each session:

​

  • Able to swim 25 meters competently on their front

  • Able to fully submerge their face unaided

  • Able to demonstrate lifting their knees and performing a full 360° rotation

  • Able to demonstrate treading water for 30 seconds

  • Able to demonstrate an undulating leg action (dolphin leg action) with the face submerged for five meters.

Safety

Safety is massively important to us so we unfortunately won't be able to allow participants to wear a monofin and tail if they don't pass the safety test. Our Mermaid tail skins are from Mertailor which is one of the world's largest companies in the mermaiding world. Our monofins are Mermaid Linden and are safely tested and recommended by the STA and Mermaids Swim UK.
